Newburgh, Indiana
 and Warrick County

Newburgh was founded in 1803 and was the first town in Warrick County.  It quickly became the largest river port between Cincinnati and New Orleans.  In 1862 Newburgh was also the first town north of the Mason-Dixon Line captured by the confederate forces during the Civil War.

Today Newburgh is better known for its quaint downtown and scenic river front.  Main Street is lined with unique boutiques and antiques shops.  Each year there are numerous festivals, including the Fiddler Fest, Strawberry Festival, The Old Country Store Herb Fest and The Historic Newburgh Wine and Art Festival.
